Dear Participant in the KNOW-Hub project.
The KNOW-Hub blended mentoring programme will be structured in face-to-face meetings and Online sessions. During the online sessions, we will be testing the KNOW-Hubs platform.
The platform will be used to facilitate communication between the participants, with chat, shared file upload and link to Video conferencing software.
All collected material will be placed in the closed platform, which only project participants have access to through a login. After the project period the platform used to collect the data from the project will be shut down, so all the material collected during the project will be deleted.
What are the GDPR rules?
The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new legislation adopted by the EU in 2016, which aims to protect individuals personal data rights in light of the Digital Age. The GDPR outlines 6 data protection principles that all organizations need to follow when collecting, processing and storing individuals’ personal data.
Data rights according to GDPR
As stated in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) everyone have the following rights when it comes to handling personal data:
● Right of access: They have the right to get insight in the data someone has about them.
● Right of rectification: They have the right to have incorrect information corrected.
● Right to erasure/right to be forgotten: In special cases, they have the right to have their information deleted before an indicated time of automatic deletion.
● Right to restriction of processing: In some cases they have the right to restrict the use of their data. In such cases someone can only use the data with their approval.
● Right to object: In certain cases they can object to a lawful management of their data.
If, despite your consent, there are images, sound recordings or videos that you wish to get deleted, we ask you to contact xxxx (name, function and email address – representative from local partner).
